I’ve been involved in web development for many years. I’ve survived countless hype cycles: various programming languages and paradigms, numerous backend and frontend frameworks, and different types of databases. Then came the blockchain hype, along with everything associated with it—from cryptocurrencies to cat NFTs. VR. AR….
I’ve dabbled in almost every one of these hype waves, only to realize they were overhyped and eventually walk away from them all.
Lately, the AI hype has emerged. Exhausted from all the hype cycles I’ve witnessed so far, I decided to follow this one from the sidelines—relatively casually, not too intensely.
But my instincts are telling me this might be more than just another passing trend. This feels like something that could truly impact not only me as a developer but humanity as a whole.
So, I’ve decided to get on board!
What’s the plan?
I don’t know yet, but I do know I’ve decided to start writing blog posts where I’ll document everything interesting I discover on this journey—things that puzzle me and everything I learn along the way.
This is the first post. Just a kind of announcement of future plans.
